Advanced Makeup Final: Prosthetic Fantasy Character
I began with collecting reference images and planning out concept art. Upon completion of the concept art, I sculpted and molded the prosthetics for the forehead, cheekbones, and beak.
After the prosthetics were made, I began fronting the wig and eventually styling it into a slick back.
Once all elements were finished, I applied the prosthetics, painted, and glued down the wig for the final makeup, complete with a moveable beak allowing for speech.
Advanced Makeup Final: Painted Fantasy Makeup
This design was for the character of The Nasty Interesting Man from Sarah Ruhl’s Eurydice. I used the works of artist, Alex Pardee, as inspiration for the style of painting. After collecting references I created a detailed character facesheet.
With two hours to complete the final makeup look, I started with the face and moved to working on the hands. The interchangeable eyes correlate to the different presentations of The Nasty Interesting Man throughout the play.
